In the past few weeks, it appears that Australia has been more of a target for malware and scam activity. The South Australian Police have put out an alert about a scam called Ransomware, which penetrates networks with weak passwords and encrypts data, holding the owners to ransom for a sum of money – usually $4,000 or more.
